Lucy’s journal notes: day 29
Today we woke up and started a pretty great day. In the morning we went to an orchid garden, and we saw some really pretty flowers and some cool water features. We got home around one, then started getting ready for the concert!!!!!
It was raining when we got into the stadium, but it stopped pretty quickly. Dad went to get water while mom stood in the merch line, but they both made it back in time for the show the start after Sabrina Carpenter (the opener) went on. she was amazing, like i didnt know she was going to be so good. i like a lot of her songs more now.
The show was so cool, and although I was disappointed the movie ruined some of the surprises, there were still some things I didn’t expect, like the intros to the different eras, or some of the song transitions. Our surprise songs were a mashup of long story short and The Story of Us, and a mashup of Clean and evermore. Surprise songs are songs that aren’t usually on the set list, and she comes up with different ones for every show. She also plays them acoustically, which means either on the guitar or the piano. I am not sure, but I think we got extra surprise songs. We also got Long Live, tis the damn season, and The Archer. I really loved it. My favorite era was probably 1989, because the stage visuals were pretty cool, and everyone knew the words to all the songs. I also liked the acoustic set because she talked to us, and also announced a new bonus track for the new album that no one else had seen before. After the show I was still in shock, but we went to bed pretty late so I am tired now. Taylor sounds a little different in person, but I think thats because she was a little bit sick. After she finished her shows in Singapore, she posted on Instagram about how much she loved the crowds at the Singapore shows, and how she is really excited to start up the concerts again soon.
